Rankin County is more than where Trey serves—it is home. Trey and his wife, Taylor, are raising their son, Reid, in the community they are proud to call home. Family has deepened Trey’s commitment to helping make Rankin County a safe, strong place for the next generation.
Whether in the courtroom or throughout the community, Trey believes public service begins with showing up, listening, and treating people with fairness and respect.

Trey earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law. After beginning his legal career in private practice, he entered public service as an assistant prosecutor, gaining extensive experience handling criminal cases and working directly with law-enforcement officers, victims, and the courts.
That experience prepared Trey to serve as Rankin County Prosecuting Attorney, where he now leads an office responsible for prosecuting thousands of cases each year. His approach remains grounded in careful preparation, sound judgment, and the fair and consistent application of the law. His commitment to protecting victims includes service on Mississippi's statewide Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board.

Leadership in the Prosecutor's Office
As Rankin County Prosecuting Attorney, Trey provides hands-on leadership across a demanding criminal docket. He works closely with law-enforcement agencies, victims, witnesses, and court personnel to ensure cases are carefully prepared and fairly prosecuted.
Trey also provides practical training for officers, court staff, interns, and future attorneys—helping strengthen courtroom preparation, professional standards, and public confidence in the justice system.

Trey believes meaningful public service extends beyond the courthouse. He regularly speaks with civic organizations, students, and community groups about public safety, the justice system, and the importance of responsible leadership.
Outside the office, Trey enjoys spending time with Taylor and Reid, cycling and mountain biking, and supporting efforts to expand outdoor recreation in Rankin County. He is proud to call Mississippi home and remains committed to serving the community where his family is building its future.
